I am very glad they took their time with the show and the specials even if they can’t name these things. So a lot of people hate the shift in character of Eren in the last chapter or “retcon”. My own interpretation is that Ymir saw something relatable in Mikasa’s relationship with Eren. And maybe she saw this possibility of Mikasa turning against her love for Eren, not blinding herself by love. In the other hand, Eren saw this connection and tried to reach this turning point for Mikasa to make the crucial decision. I might be missing something which is not coherent, but it was my thoughts after watching the special and thinking back on when I read the manga. A lot of emotions behind the characters are very complex and I feel that it is a very real depiction thereof and is what I like about the series. Lastly, in terms of the end credit scene. Nobody can foresee so far into the future and as you said history can repeat itself. I love that they brought it back to the Founder tree, as if a next cycle of titan can start again. In that sense there might be some truth to this titan science and there will always be a conflict.

Mostly dialogue tweaked and some lines added with the conversation between eren and Armin towards the end. The meaning and themes of the conversation didn't change though, just fleshed it out and explained ideas a bit better. I'm glad that it looks like the anime is getting a very positive reaction overall. Still some are sticking to hating it. To each their own I guess, I just don't understand how someone could love the whole show, but hate this kind of ending though. It was beautiful

I'm so glad you liked the end, I'm so jealous I wish this was my first experience for it too, it was handled and executed a lot better than it originally was in the manga. They extended and changed quite a bit of Erens and Armins discussion and it was just way more impactful. In the manga it almost came across like Armin thanked him for committing this mass genocide so I'm glad that was removed. Instead here it was more like Armin bearing some of Erens guilt and shouldering it with him, and saying "let's go to Hell together" was new and I just, man I loved it Can't wait for any potential future discussion videos you might make in the future but what a journey this has been, unforgettable
