they showed that specific memory of jiraya being tied down to the log and the 3rd hokage + his other teammates looking at him bcs he was leaning back against the same log he was once tied onto back when he was a kid. so the place reminded him of that

Kakashi mentioned that on the first test with the bells when he said his friends are on there. And now the lady mentioned Obito for him Also i Juraya's memory the kid was indeed Orochimatu and the girl we don't know that is his old team from when he was young(and also the 3 Legendary Sannin) and their teacher(3rd Hokage).

HOW?? I thought this episode would've done it! I've been wheeping like a full grown man-child during these episodes since 2003! Btw: About the grave with the name Hatake: Kakashi's last name is Hatake... You'll eventualy figure out who/why that is...

While the Chunin Exam arc is a fantastic story arc on its own, when I think back (and I think you’re realizing it even now), it can be seen as a huge prologue to introduce your full roster of characters, their motivations, and their relationships for the rest of the story. Like you said, everything here is “to be continued” lol.
