A new scene

With the new clothing for Maya wolf, I wanted to do a small scene. Bathing in a pond or something like that, seemed fitting, so I've been working on that.

I was thinking up how it could look, bathing in a moonlit forest lake in the middle of the night, maybe. Then I can finally use a nature asset pack I got some time back. I tried to make my own foliage, but it took so long, getting out and collecting leaves, taking photos, edit, make a twig with the leaves, turn it into a asset that can be distributed onto the branches of a tree. An asset pack with hundreds of plants made more sense. And I can get trees that are not from where i live x).

As I began setting up the scene, it occurred to me that it wouldn't make sense bathing in a forest lake, they are usually pretty inaccessible or not very ideal to bathe in.

I searched for swimming ponds on the web and found images of natural looking swimming pools, which looked quite nice. So I used those found images for inspiration and I began shaping up the pond, making the landscape a bit hill like so the foliage could cover the background. I aimed for something fantasy like, a ruin that now have turned into a serene pond. The pond was too large, something like 20 meters x 20 meters, so I made it much smaller, more like a flooded road. Adding some simple placeholder blocks to mark where the character could stand and where the ruin could be and it turned out to this.

I felt like it needed more, so I turned to drawing a quick and rough sketch to get ideas down quickly. It helped getting an idea how the blocks could look, which direction the light could be and such.
