Sometimes things don't go as planned. Just the other day I had scheduled two photoshoots, both for #thebodyportrait. I wanted to do something bedroom themed so I went to IKEA and bought a few things, arranged and created a decor and everything. Sadly, both girls cancelled... I guess it happens! No worries...
It's funny how our perception changes with time. I took this image back in February '21. Like always, starting curating the images from the shoot a few days after. In contrast with the previous two setup I'm using soft light here. I believe there're two main takeouts here:
1. I have a flash aimed at the model but I'm blocking the direct beam using a big card close to a wall. Essentially, the model is lit by the light bouncing of the wall. I'm doing this in order ...

P.S. Lighting here is a mix of natural and flash light - there's a rectangle softbox on camera right to enhance the window light.
No retouch here, just natural work.
