Young Lynn & Lincoln || Sketches

Remember when I posted those 3D models of Lincoln's room? Well, it was so I could study the best way to portray this picture. These are the sketches that I showed the commissioner, and now I'm waiting on his response to continue. Gotta decide on YoungLynn (youngling, get it?)'s hairstyle and maybe their expressions.

Lincoln's Room 3D Model for quick references.

So, someone wanted to commission me a pic with Lincoln sleeping in his room, and we were trying to figure out the best angle to draw him in. Angles can be tricky sometimes, so I was like "You know what, I'll just do a 5 minutes SketchUp model for Lincoln's room so I can move the camera around".

And it worked. Five minut...

Maybe it's because in Architecture classes they teach us about perspective and I have practice drawing buildings and interiors, but there's something I just love about quickly sketching a background.

This commission was so fun to draw! I love Lincoln, and Sid is the best thing from Los Casagrandes so far. I had a lot of fun drawing her, and I think these two would have an amazing dynamic together.
