i often want to run away into the wilderness and live with a family of beavers. but in the end i do love my friends. and they might not realize it, but they are the ones keeping me from annoying a bunch giant dam building rodents.

one of the fundamental flaws of western storytelling is a persistent belief in the need for a self contained arc. what i mean everything in the conventional story exists in a bubble. i believe this makes for a very predictable and boring story. though it is fun to ruin movies for everyone by calling out dialogue as it happens...

so, first i used markers to make a base color and next added texture using colored inks, Pigma Micron sepia and Windsor & Newton 952 blue. next comes the colored pencils, paints, etc...

ao for funz here's how i like to do traditional coloring. first i lay down solid colors with markers. next will be colored pen & ink textures followed by colored pencils to soften, highlight and shade certain areas.
