This is another one of the comics I'm commissioned to draw. I tested out some more fetish-type, revealing clothes as well as more normal designs to see if the client would like to go into a raunchier direction from the get-go, or keep it fairly tame when the action is not on.

This week, I put special care to design and sketch some highly dynamic splurts. It's an approach worth undertaking in comics, to have a defined outline for the fluids shooting out, so that I can efficiently show the ribbon-like qualities of the strings.

I've been practicing exaggerated faces lately in order to loosen up, we'll see in the finished comics! Inking always mellows the expressions down, so I need to push the sketches a lot.

Experimenting with spots of really high saturation. I now realize how much my monitor has been affecting my style, I tend to go for muted colors anyway, but I saw them way more colorful than the majority.

Here's the working version of the karatekas series. I'm very happy with this efficient artstyle. It took some time deciding what elements are necessary and what I should do without. The idea is to build a fast artstyle to use in the comics, both personal and for client work.

Another compilation of warmup sketches. This week, I've been pushing the proportions of boobs and asses. I want to add the ability to draw really big features to my toolset, even if I don't end up using it in personal or client work that much, it'll strengthen my drawings.

Here's a very early sketch of an upcoming drawing. I'm looking forward to rendering all those fleshy bits pressing together, subcutaneous fat galore. It's a challenge to keep the fat strictly in all the right places, the character is curvy, but far from plump.
