June 2017 Report

Hey there!

I decided to make a regular update.

First, thanks again to all of you for pledging. This is beyond my expectations, and it feels great to know that my work is valuable for you to fund it. I already have a greater peace of mind knowing that I can work more freely, experiment a little bit, but consistently - that's important.

On topic of work, I've been commissioned to do several comics, which I'm ecstatic about. The uploads here and to my galleries will continue regularly, even as I work on the early development, as I've been able to build a big buffer of client work from 2016/2017, and a number of personal pieces, too (in a significant part thanks to your support!). This is why a lot of the previews you've seen here are spaced well in advance of the final upload - I hope you understand.

Near future I'm really optimistic about. Soon, I'll be moving to a place with a dedicated studio room, also making a significant hardware upgrade. I'm not certain when it's all done, but I can tell you that this Autumn, we're going to the next level. I'll keep a lid on what that means exactly for now, but you'd be wrong if you think this is a marketing buzzword only;)

This means there might be a period of lesser activity, if I run out of buffer material, and the comics (commissioned and personal) aren't ready. I'm fairly certain there's enough, but I'll let you know in advance as situation clears up. Certainly the remainder of July into mid-August things will stay as active as they're now.

Lastly, I made a small change to the OY-ASS project outline. I realise there's only a limited number of people who'd be interested in strictly art study updates, so I changed the planned weekly report to bigger, monthly reports. These will be packed up in an archive and accessible for all patrons, thus I won't spam your feed with updates that you might be less interested in. It's a minor change, but it's important I stay transparent with handling things you're paying for.
