She sees a thunderous right hand and moves to the left...

...and forward with everything she's got, to see his gloved fist fly by. She comes in low and is in range, but she knows she's got a micro-second to launch her counter before he throws his left... 

She tenses her thighs like steel to power a shiny, leather cased bomb to it's muscled target...

They circle eachother in the centre of the ring..

...she hears his taunts and her eyes come alive with determination... she feints and moves, her eyes not leaving his...

He looks for chances, their gaze locked into eachother's eyes...

...he snarls: 'I'm gonna take you this round' his guard raised high...

...and another!

He lands a solid left jab...

...her head snaps back and her muscles tense to their very threshold to absorb the blow...

The man enters the battlefield...

...he guards high with both hands and looks ready to throw lefts OR rights. He closes in...

She comes out for Round 5, looking like a beaten fighter...

...she steps to the left, guard up, keeping her distance...

His corner towels the blood off his face...

...'find an opening and knock her out. Do it this Round!'. He takes deep breaths, nods his head and bangs his gloves together before rising from his stool, awaiting the bell. He watches his opponent across the ring biting down on her gumshield and slowly standing...

She sits on her stool and her corner get to work...

...she tells them she's fine and they begin discussing the tactics for the next round,

"Go out there looking tired and hurt... tempt him to load up and attack then counter punch him and make him pay for every mistake".

She feels excitement with this plan... if he guards his damaged nose, then attack the body. When...

The two fighters stalk eachother as the fight continues...

...they move slowly as they get closer: their eyes locked. His face is still smeared with blood from his nose and his gloves are pushed together as if they're holding the heavy weight of his arms. She's up at the count of six...

...using the ropes to steady herself for a few seconds. Then she fixes her steel gaze into the referee's eyes instructing him she wants to carry on. He checks her gloves and signals the fight to continue...

...and she's down! The reporter's cameras flash, illuminating the arena.

She slides down to the canvas, pawing at the ropes until she can steady herself. The referee starts the count: 1- 2- 3... she takes a few deep breaths and then grits her teeth, revealing her mouthpiece and showing a determination that could burn though metal. Airbourne sweat still flies down.

...and plants his right glove deep into her jaw.

The fighters sinews strained: his, to deliver the powerful blow, and hers to steel herself as the punch reverberates through her chin, down through her entire body, launching her back even faster. She hits the turnbuckles and a wave of dizziness falls over her. Her legs give out...

...and then a left! Her defence is cracked wide open!

The power of his punch turns her head, sending sweat and saliva flying through the air. The patrons cheer wildly as the force of the blow drives her backwards! He charges forward through the mist...

Bang! A stiff right jab...

The fighters square up in the centre of the ring...

...he still feints and moves, his eyes locked on his female opponent. She closes in, both hands cocked, looking for an opening... He senses a hesitation in her movements: perhaps she was still clearing her head after the vicious attacks just seconds before? They stay locked in this battle of nerves for a few more seconds, BUT...

...her punch leaves his nose with a splash of blood pouring out. The pain shoots up to his brain and lights flash, momentarily obscuring his vision.

He closes his guard and steps back. He shakes his head to clear it and feels a few drops of blood hit his chest and thighs. He moves and weaves to make himself a harder target, expecting her to capitalize on his confusion and launch another attack.

Her right glove smashes into his nose...

Instead, he fires a right which she avoids with lightning speed and counters with a left hook...

...which snaps his head back as her leather connects to his jaw with knockout power. The patrons at ringside are stunned by her agility and split-second detonation of her counter attack. The man was stunned too as the sinews in his jaw and neck contort to desperately keep his mouthpiece in place. 

The arena lights ...

She escapes the ropes, but takes some shots to do so...

...a right hand lands as she side-steps away, but he stalks her, his left hand cocked, ready...

His right glove smashes into her guard...

...There's the sound of leather smacking against leather as the force of the blow forces her arms to the side. She uses all her strength to keep her defence tight and instinctively see where the next punch is coming from. She must get off the ropes. The blows send her sweat spraying over the patrons in the first few rows at r...

He answers with a left...

They meet in the centre of the ring for Round 4...

...both fighters are eager to engage, but they box, using the jab and looking for opportunities. They've both felt eachother's power and want to know what the other has left. They move around the ring: some punches hitting flesh, others, thin air. The thuds and slaps of leather against skin are heard throughout the arena and ...

Mouth-piece in, she stands up, ready for Round 4...

...she bites down and bangs her gloves together while fixing her opponent with a burning stare. Sweat drips down her glistening muscles that are as steely as the determination in her gaze..... DING! DING!

In the opposite corner, they go to work on their fighter too.

...the right side of his face is showing damage from the woman's left hooks. His ribs are sore from her lefts and rights, but he ignores this. The woman across the ring also feels the pain from the man's savage attacks to her body, but her chiselled, glistening abs are holding strong so far. Couples at ringside are using thes...

Her corner applies a compress to her swollen eye.

She grits her teeth with determination: she lost that last round and wants to restablish some dominance in the next one....

The female boxer charges forward into a clinch...

...She locks him up tight. The man struggles but she's hanging on like her life depends on it. Their bodies touching, slick with sweat slide against eachother as they wrestle into the ropes, grunting with their efforts. The cameras of the reporters flash continuously as they capture the action. The referee steps in to break t...

She desperately tries to evade a left-hand...

She comes off the ropes and moves her head as the man's glove flies past. The woman knows she must stay out of trouble to regain her senses after that blistering combination, but he's on her, keeping up the offensive...

He hits her with an uppercut that sends her crashing against the ropes: she's hurt!

Sweat flies off her as the punch connects with her chin. Cameras flash as she hits the ropes, her face contorted with pain. Swelling is starting to appear around her left eye.
