Delta III SSBN Data Sheets

This month we are covering the 'workhorse' of the Soviet Navy, the Delta III SSBN. This is the most reliable ballistic missile submarine the Soviets built. The systems were robust and they made enough of them that there was one always on patrol through the 1980s until the collapse of the Soviet Union on Christmas Day1991.

1971 CIA Report on Soviet Cruise Missiles

This is a great piece on what the United States thought about Russian cruise missiles in the early '70's.  They were way ahead of us, but there is a little bias in this report as not to embarrass us too much.  Good historical perspective.
