Layering in the various minor characters and getting them to fit and be recognizable enough was difficult. Plus adjusting them to my current style, but keeping them looking enough like themselves... since they haven't been in the comic for years... yeah.

Panel three's multiple Georges was an effort in drawing the different heads and placing them in a row... resizing to fit... and finally drawing in their bodies. Nothing glamorous but it gets the job done.

Not Zombie Roomie related! Finally came up with a version of this character that I like. She's the brains of the bunch.... but since I liked the round glasses on her (due to her round face) I'll have to change up the glasses on the other kid who wears them in the group.

Trying to get John in panel three's pose "right" was the hardest part of this strip. It had to be over the top enough to sell the gag, but within the bounds of what John would do... And not too far to make everyone blind.

I knew the majority of the work for the 2nd clown version would be carried by the inking and color. Things have been feeling super stiff for me in my character art so panel one isn't one of my favorites.

September Wallpaper - Zombie-man!
Trying a new delivery method for September vs. August. Instead of having to download a zip file... I've got a gallery setup in my Dropbox that has all the various sizes of September's wallpaper.

Apparently George's hand in panel three was on some layer that didn't make it to the end of the comic's production. The sofa and window were taken from earlier comics so they're not in the sketch. Same with Lyn's milkbone on her shirt... When I do shirt graphics, they're taken from a file and warp transformed into place.

The character art for the other portion of this commission. It involves the aftermath of the other image where one host has fought off the zombies with an Xbox controller... sadly the other is now a Michael Jackson back up dancer...

September Wallpaper progress
I've still got tons to do on this, but this is where I'm at with it currently. I was going to do one of those sideways, ninja style kicks but it just looked weird... I'm going to go with a more traditional foot position. I'm looking forward to the inks/halftoning on this... Zombie-man logo is just a rough idea as the composition...
