Warm spells

Tropical temperatures these days, up to 27 degrees and very windy. 'The air of the chestnuts' as the local saying says. I adore this autumnal light, it's such a joy to work in the garden, very soothing and grounding.

Another tree down

Today I found out that another tree fell down. It's been dead for a while. It's a shame because pine martens used to climb it to cross the river just on top of my swim spot; I hope I still see them from time to time!

First yellow leaves

A dip after a sweaty wander is always so refreshing! And I love yellow leaves!!!!

Today I went on a hike and in my way back I had a very chilly dip in the river!

Weather confused

Green thoughts and textures

These days are strange. I feel strange (the river dip changed things and supported me to take things more lightly). Dancing at the beach

After the effect of the full moon hangover of weird dreams and intermittent sleep went away I went to the sea to dance! A spark of creativity I needed to let out, the walls of my house where to near each other. I needed space and rough sea! Amazing

New pool

Yesterday I was taking part in contemporary dance workshops in a village and luckily there was an amazing river pool nearby where we could spend the lunch break 🙏🏾and at the same time the Vuelta ciclista passed just a few meters away. Synchronicities!

Beach postponed

I was meaning to go to the beach, to check out a secluded one (and officially nudist) that was recommended to me recently, but I aborted the mission as I was told that the sea is still incredibly forceful these days, red flag status. I have patience and the river 🙏🏾

Fallen willow

A willow fell in my swim spot, just at the bottom of the stairs. Strong winds. Poor tree! Glad that it happened when I wasn't there! I was aware of it's condition so I knew it would happen at some point, but it's always a mystery when it happens.

River frolics

Always great to be back in my river and with my cats! Today Sith accompanied me sunbathing in the garden and it was great.
I wish I had stayed longer in Fuerteventura but that's life. I definitely want to go back at some point, really loved it. They say that either you love it or you hate it.

Paradise

I had never been in a beach with such a turquoise sea. It was paradise. And there were a few other people naked amongst others wearing swimming costumes so I felt at home. These days apart from two occasions were I wore a bikini bottom for swimming because of the context of the beach I have been swimming and sunbathing naked ...

Natural pool

I woke up early today, went for a stroll to find a natural pool that I had seen on the map and was calling me. What a beauty and what an amazing time in the water. Completely in a trance state, like a mermaid. The temperature of the water was perfect, warm enough to stay there for ages and also fresh. Loved it!

More Fuerteventura

I had never experienced any swim like in yesterday's beach before. The sea was just surreal, and the best invitation to surrender. Simply wow.

Far far away

I'm in the Canary Islands for a few days, for the first time and wow, such a contrast. I'm really loving this landscape, of volcanic rocks, dunes, turquoise sea, cacti and desert. The water is exquisite, the sea is embracing (when is possible to swim!)
