this was a very trust the process kind of commission... lots of flinging placeholder colors around and being stumped by the contrast until I landed on that bright and desaturated cream for the lit fur!

it's interesting to compare this portrait to the other rainy day window portrait I did about two years ago:

I really tried to focus on atmosphere for the pixel portraits this month- cool/greyish color schemes are really hard for me but I'm happy with how they turned out! I was commissioned for this design back in may- I didn't think it would be too complex a design so I saved the steps to make a process post!
