Thank you to Matt Riddle
Added 2018-08-19 05:37:55 +0000 UTCI wanted to post this here, because I think it's more fitting for our subscribers to see who go above and beyond to support us.
Matt Riddle has been great to me. I joke about him not being on time and not responding when I ask him tough questions, but Riddle has always been a friendly face.
Matt has always understood that this was my job first and foremost and never complained about coverage that painted him in anything but a positive light. I have total strangers who have blocked me for tweets criticizing them during a show. When I went to AIW to ask for their side of the story on the issues with Matt, he didn't give me shit. When we ran articles about him double booking himself, he didn't mind. He's more grown up about the business (and the one I'm in) than most give him credit for.
Matt gave me time when almost no one else would. He was actually one of my first interviews back in 2014 ahead of his last MMA fight when I ran a really small blog called Cage Passion Sports. I've interviewed him every single year since, and had some really cool moments on air.
I took Matt a Fightful shirt during Royal Rumble weekend, and he could have just seen Fightful as another payday, but he worse the shirt on the air -- on a website that originally looked like it would be one of our main competitors. When we had the most recent "Bro Spot," I'd just asked for a phone interview, and he insisted that we jump on video, since that's what our BroCast viewers were used to. Ending the show was a tough decision last year, but he was always cool to us through everything.
Best of luck to Matt, and long live the Brocast.

It was through Brocast in which my wife became a fan of Matt. I would play the podcast in the car and she would laugh at Matt's infectious laugh and humor.

It shows how how you care, not just about your job, but also about the product and the people invovled. And how providing the very best coverage out there is always at the forefront. Cheers SRS
