ROH initially planned for their Summer Supercard in Toronto to take place on Saturday, August 10 but moved it to August 9 due to the NXT Takeover show in the city on the 10th.
Angelina Love is said to have gotten emotional when learning that the Mattamy Athletic Centre, the venue for the Summer Supercard, used to be the old Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto. That building was WWE’s regular home for decades as well as the Toronto Maple Leafs, and with Angelina being Canadian it’s considered a “bucket list” venue to perform in.
