Fightful has confirmed the news, with it being said that Davey Boy Smith Jr. "basically quit" and didn't feel like the company was doing anything for his career. After being stagnant, Davey Boy felt like it was time to move on.

Good scoop SRS. He has a good thing with Brian Pillman Jnr and Teddy Hart with Court Bauer s ROH and there shouldn’t be an issue with crossover to Impact. Even AEW down the line. He’s been across Social Media in the spring about dissatisfaction with NJPW BloodSport -KillerKross v Harry Smith. 9/10.. He’s a lot of independent dates this summer. He should go far!
