Eric Bischoff Gone From WWE

I'll be collecting any notes and info I get on Eric Bischoff being ousted from his position in WWE.

- I've asked WWE about the status of Bischoff, and they confirmed to me that he's no longer with the company, completely replaced by Bruce Prichard, saying "Eric is no longer with the company and has been replaced by Prichard."

- Bischoff was one of the names that Ali had impressed a while back with his King of the Ring performance.

- One person said that Prichard was already overseeing a pretty encompassing group of tasks, and had resumed his role as "Vince's right hand man." We're told that Prichard has been more hands on than Bischoff, and that the latter was taking time to adjust to the familiarizing himself with the roster and product.

- The situation had "been building for weeks" per this person, and this was a WWE call, not an Eric Bischoff call.

- Some of the short term employees that are brought to Stamford are in corporate housing, but we're not sure Bischoff's "moving" situation. Outside of the fact that he was moving in July. Generally if you're hired out of the local area, you're provided three months of corporate housing and a rental car. If you're retained for beyond that, you make your own arrangements.

- Bischoff had ceased appearing on Afterbuzz's After 83 Weeks Post-show once he moved to Stamford in July.

- Staff and some talent heard about Bischoff's firing at roughly 1 PM EST, while plenty of others learned about it as it was revealed on social media. One talent told us they "saw it coming," and that Bischoff did 'not seem comfortable' with the role or what went with it.

- There was a lot of confusion among talent that we spoke to of Bischoff's defined role. One said that Smackdown talent was told to take creative ideas to Bischoff, and that Bischoff actually solicited them for ideas on their characters. This extended from those who hadn't been appearing on the show to regulars.

- Bischoff was subject to the same tirades in meetings from Vince McMahon that others were.

I am very surprised by this

I think this is a case of no one really knowing what's going on as far as the talent goes. He might've had a 90 day probation thing in his deal that WWE decided not to pick up? Just speculation there. But I feel for Eric with him at least moving in some form across the country. But in the end it is what it is. I just hope whatever happens the product doesn't suffer from it like it has the last few years. Bit I'm not delusional enough to think that the audience of one mentality in WWE will change anytime soon!

Yikes

Look forward to more detail. I do know he moved across the country BUT was he in debt and was he essentially pushed by Prichard ??

Its only gotten worse since Prichard was brought on.

This is bs. I hope AEW picks him up & It bites WWE in the A$$!

I’ve never been the biggest fan of Bischoff personally but I feel for the guy cause he was in debt, and moved himself across the country for the job. Hope they at least give him some pay on the way out.

Wow

Was it ever specified what he was actually doing while employed? Just trying to gauge why wwe would have a sudden release like this, I don't think he was doing a bad job with whatever his role was in company, he moved cross country months ago for the position

Damn that didn't last long!!

Well hot damn
