2020-06-04 16:58:18 +0000 UTCMaybe sean can touch on this, but I think he actually got released but the outpour of emotional reactions he got in response to his video made WWE realize they should keep him and they ended up making a storyline a vast majority were deeply invested it. I see no problem.

Given nobody else that got their release went on to wrestle again...I gotta think it was a work from the beginning. Makes it seem rather cheap when so many others lost their jobs for real.
