From the details we were given, Michaels was discussing the current social climate with another producer, when said producer mentioned that everyone already gets treated the same. This didn't sit well with Michaels, we're told, who broke down systemic prejudice and inequality to the persona in a very heated discussion. Word of the argument only made its way back among multiple wrestlers the following day, and Michaels was said to be a "professional" and worked with the person even after the argument went down.
It should be worth noting that since the original article was published, there was one person in the company that stated it was more of a discussion than an argument. One NXT wrestler said the other producer was overheard noting that Michaels "got hot" at him, which was the word relayed backstage.
