Please uninstall the demo before installing the full version
Added 2025-01-14 08:18:41 +0000 UTCHi, when I woke up this morning it dawned to me that users might run into an issue where they are still running the demo after installing the full version.
The reason is that the demo and full version are using the same ID and are considered the same by the system.
When you install a CIA file and the same version number (0.0.10) is already installed, it will quietly do nothing. It is designed to only install greater versions than currently installed.
There are three ways of uninstalling a 3DS app:
1. The official way via the Nintendo System Settings applet ("Data Management" -> "Nintendo 3DS" -> "Software" -> Click on App -> "Delete")
2. Via FBI: "Titles" -> (select the app) -> "Delete Title and Ticket"
3. Via my custom updater app:
You can install it via FBI by selecting "Remote Install" -> "Scan QR Code" and then scanning the bar-code in the top-most post here.
Once launched, simply press SELECT to uninstall.
Start it again to install the full version.
I hope this helps preventing any frustration, I apologize. I will think of ways to avoid this issue in the future.
