Hey folks! We've got a brand new feature rolling out in the latest playtest build: radar! I don't know why it took me so long to consider this but this is really something that helps with battlefield awareness and makes it SO much easier to locate enemies. Now of course, enemies will only show up on radar if you have visual contact, but still, it will save you a lot of scrolling around the map trying to manually find guys. I've only tested it myself for a couple days but I really do personally like it and I hope you will too! (This also opens up more fun gameplay mechanics in future cough radar jammers cough).
Another major change in this playtest build is a revamp of how enemy mechs end up in the salvage pool. In this new version mechs that are downed or destroyed will ALWAYS end up in the final salvage pool. Equipment from devastated mechs will also always show up (but the chassis' will not). And of course ruined mechs are just totally lost. However, with downed and destroyed mechs now always showing up you have more options on the salvage screen. Also I've added the ability to break up a mech in the salvage screen for parts, so if you need more repairs you can break a mech up to get them. To compensate generally far fewer repairs will show up automatically for you, so it will be up to you to break down mechs as needed to scrounge up repair parts.
Anyway, enjoy these latest builds and be sure to let me know if you encounter and bugs or issues on the discord! Happy mech hunting!
