The second show for the block is My Three Sons, where Fred MacMurray played a widowed father raising his three sons, plus a fourth son, plus an adopted daughter, plus three grandkids... look, he just ends up raising a lot of kids.

I imagine Donna Reed did the same thing, or else she would have ended up becoming the house wife she didn't want to be.

2020-03-11 18:53:01 +0000 UTCI also think you were very fair to this show. You gave it credit whede credit was due and pointed out that it still had regressive ideas. The chinese episode was very cringy. At first I thought they were just doing some very cringy flirting and there was going to be some gag worthy lesson where the guy tells her that she didn't have to make that up to get him to like her (which was very problematic) and was floored when she was serious. I think the actress went along with her character being sweet so that she didn't get black listed in hollywood for being too hard to work with
