Regarding the pizza example, the damage isn't already done once the pizza has been bought. It's also created indirectly if you eat the slice of pepperoni pizza that a meat eater would have eaten. That person would find some other meat to eat, possibly even going as far as buying something with meat in it after the party. It's like spilling a glass of milk. Most likely, the person who was going to drink that milk is going to pour themselves another glass. That said, if it's been bought and made, it does need to get eaten by a meat eater, otherwise, it will get wasted. And that meat eater will go and find some other meat to buy and eat.
