Weirdly, I've kind of been waiting for this episode. I actually did watch this show regularly, on Sunday mornings as a kid, often coupled with Mario Cantone's Steampipe Alley (I was living in Western Mass, but somehow, I guess we got some show from Secaucus, NJ?).
I definitely remember the opening which had the Nickelodeon logo as a stick of dynamite with a lit fuse that would eventually explode into the logo for the show. I remember the chromakey games, as well as video game demos. I remember Candace Cameron tested out the Nintendo Power Pad. One recurring segment I remember was one in which kids would do a grown up activity and adults would do a kid activity. You showed Walter Cronkite sharpening pencils. One I remember was kids folding maps. It's where I first saw music videos on a regular basis. I might have seen videos before and run out of the room when Michael Jackson's Thriller came on, but on Total Panic I saw the B52's Roam and Tears for Fears' Sowing the Seeds of Love. I remember a live appearance by the Fat Boys for a Thanksgiving episode. All I remember from that was a lyric that included the phrase "ballpoint pen." I believe I remember Bronson Pinchot coming on the show to promote the comedy Second Sight, and showing the "pee pee dance scene."
It might have been paired with Don't Just Sit There, but I could be wrong about that.
