Oh... this is 43 I was confused because the title was 42.

This is 42? i can't find 43...

Glad you posted Meshroom Mike, we even have a tutorial that we published in 2019 as "Getting Started Guide" for Photogrammetry - https://medium.com/realities-io/getting-started-with-photogrammetry-d0a6ee40cb72 Although we're support user submitted scans, it's certainly something that we're interested in the future (and we'll be sure to provide more in-depth tutorials for people to follow)

"Also, what about releasing a software so people can make their own puzzles to submit?" Hey Timothy, already possible, with free software and everything! Start here: https://meshroom-manual.readthedocs.io/en/latest/tutorials/sketchfab/sketchfab.html There are tutorials / videos all over the place for how to get take good photos for input (turn off all "auto exposure-type" features on your camera, shoot on a cloudy day, etc, etc). A computer controlled turntable would be helpful for the smallest subjects, or a computer controlled swing-arm rig that can sweep your (HDR) camera up/down/around larger subjects. For the building-scale things you'd need to invest in a well stabilized drone with a good (HDR) camea. And be sure to have a high end GPU for the processing because there's a lot of number crunching involved. Otherwise you'll be waiting a long time (days?) for the results to compute. Count on running the whole process (from capture to upload) multiple times because things just -never- seem to work out right the first time. Once you've got it the way you like it upload it to SketchFab, then send a link to the good folk at realities.io. I'm certain once they have your submission it's just a simple matter of programming... hit a few buttons and out pops a puzzle. Easy peasy! (Whoops, I forgot the location based soundscapes... that's probably really simple, too). Enjoy!

I'm not one of the devs but you are not paying specifically for the puzzles, you are paying to help fund development of this app. The puzzles are a bonus. Some of them are easy, and some are more difficult. I would definitely recommend turning off the photos on every puzzle to make them more challenging. They have already said that they intend to have varying difficulty with the puzzles and this week they were trying an easier one and I'm sure they appreciate your feedback. If you just want harder puzzles and don't want to pay each month, just cancel your patreon subscription and wait for the full release which is scheduled for later this year.

Never mind about the difficulty suggection as I just read a reply further down on that :)

Idea I posted before would be to add a difficulty level you can choose for each puzzle to each of these, maybe 50 pieces for easy, 100 for normal, 200 for hard? Also, what about releasing a software so people can make their own puzzles to submit? User-submitted puzzles could be a great way to increase the number of puzzles drastically ... maybe even allow a way to rate each puzzle (user submittedf or official) to see how well recieved a given puzzle is?

I am sorry to give negative feedabck but PLEASE make these a little more difficult. I have waited all week for this puzzle only to finish this is 30 minutes! without much help from the photos. You have had some amazing puzzles but this is just too easy, As I am literaly paying for every puzzle now so tough love, I expect a little more. Please make them more pieces or just better puzzles. Sorry because I do absolutely love these 3D jigsaws. I will wait to see what next week brings. Thanks.
