Chiron shook his head. "I don't know. I have been having... Dreams. A dark mysterious figure has been warning me of this danger."

"Can you describe this figure? Does it resemble anyone or any monster we know?"

"I'm afraid I can't. All I can tell is that they are demons, and they are powerful."

"How can we protect the camp from this unknown demon?"

"We can't. Not without Percy and his group. We must do as much damage control as we can. If we are lucky, maybe the demon is good and wants to help us. It has been asking me where is the daughter of Athena. I didn't answer it yet, and now it's s sending more warnings."

"I'm a daughter of Athena. Maybe I can talk to them, and maybe I can figure out their motives."

"No, we must be cautious. They haven't attacked, but I feel their power. They are so strong."

"Well, if they're this strong, they'll get here, no matter what."

"Then let's prepare for battle. Let's gather our strongest fighters."

"No. Chiron let me go greet this demon. I can learn what it's up to."

"I'm not sure about that, my child."

"Let me try. Please."

"OK, but be careful. Do not underestimate this demon."

"I won't. I promise." He was like a father to her, she didn't want to let him down.

The next day she prepared a bag of weapons and food. Hoping not to use any weapon against this demon, but the power of diplomacy with the demon. Annabeth doesn't understand why a demon would warn Chiron of danger, and what they want from her. She is excited but scared. She's not afraid of fighting demons, but she's afraid of not being able to come back to Percy.

The trip to the place the demon was warning of wasn't very far from camp. It was only a couple of miles away in New York City. A dark ally between a bar and a hotel. She arrives in a taxi. The three angry women drivers drop her off still fighting over the one singular eye, and she walks into the ally. She has a flashlight with her, and she uses it. There is nothing. It's empty and silent.

The light from her flashlight shined on a sign. It read: Abandon All Hope Ye Who Enter Here. That's a Dante's Inferno quote. A line of Dante's Divine Comedy. This demon has a sense of humor, she thinks. She's not going to be intimidated.

She walks forward and sees a small door with a black and gold sign with the words: Hell's Gate Bar. A black and red devil's tail was painted above the words.
