He likely would have killed them anyway also because he was there because Polyphemus told him what Odysseus did to him, also they had to act in self defense because they went in to the cave without checking if it was occupied which thus pissed off Polyphemus

2024-05-29 09:24:39 +0000 UTCThe voice of Poseidon is Steven Rodriguez he’s amazingly talented. Jorge chose well.

2024-05-28 21:28:24 +0000 UTCGod's aren't restricted to one instrument in epic, they are represented by synths rather than acoustic instruments but I do know that Jay has confirmed that poseidon is represented by mostly brass instruments, so that's why the song is laced with trumpets, trombone etc

2024-05-25 16:20:06 +0000 UTCApology or excuse, Poseidon would have killed them all anyway. The gods were dicks like that. Yes Ody and his men trespassed, but they didn't know anyone lived in the cave and I think apologizing for acting in self defense is dumb because they had the right to protect themselves. Poseidon was just on an ego kick in my opinion

2024-05-25 02:55:23 +0000 UTCOne thing my brother pointed out to me when I heard this song for the first time was how the drums mirror Polyphemus, who had really heavy drum beats. I loved that detail.

2024-05-19 02:31:30 +0000 UTCBut also I feel like Poseidon asking him to apologize was him testing Odysseus if he learned the lesson of ruthlessness is mercy upon yourself which is also why he mentions nativity in the next sentence

2024-05-17 20:04:02 +0000 UTCI love how Poseidon scruffs Odysseus like a wayward pup in gigi's version, especially after the "guess the pack of wolves is swimming with the shark now." Doubling down on what Mortius said about Odysseus and his men may be a force to be reckoned with, but to Poseidon they're no more than insolent whelps outside their element, literally and figuratively. 😅

2024-05-17 16:43:23 +0000 UTCI would like to remind you about the background vocals being either actually there or created by the gods. At the end of Ruthlessness, when we hear "When does a ripple become a tidal wave" and "When does a man become a monster?". That is NOT the soldiers currently either drowning or being completely in shock. That is Poseidon summoning a chorus, just to TAUNT Odysseus with his own thoughts back from Just a Man.

2024-05-17 08:10:30 +0000 UTCMy problem is the gods are always fickle you can still piss them off even if you do what they say. But yeah Ody should have apologized. My only reason for not doing so is because he'd be apologizing to the father of his best friend's killer. And that's a bit messed up considering Ody is still mourning Polites. So it would be like saying sorry you had to kill my best friend, when I spared your life. Sorry I showed mercy which was a thing my friend told me to practice.

2024-05-17 04:58:25 +0000 UTCWatching Mortius do age math at the exact time I'm doing age math from Casper's talk about the amount of time he's been a brand manager after y'all just had the conversation about his age—yeah. What? like since you were *18?* seriously? Impressive!

2024-05-17 01:00:34 +0000 UTCThe perfect reaction video for my birthday. This is first epic song I listened too. So while biased, this is my favorite song of this series. Followed by a paticular song in saga 5

2024-05-17 00:12:11 +0000 UTCPer Jay, Poseidon's instruments are trumpet and drums. Also, since you mentioned the synth in Storm and in the Horse and the Infant when Zeus showed up, per Jay, as the gods get more wrathful/angry, the more regular instruments are replaced with synth.
