Announcement: Lightweight Championship Tournament!

So a few days ago, I was asked about doing a tournament for my heavyweight fighters. I already have a lot of storylines set up in my head for those characters, however, and I thought a tournament might interfere with some of the fights I want to build toward. But the lightweights on the other hand... The only fights I had planned out were between Barbara and Elodie that I just published, and Bianca and Melly which will be coming later this year.

So there's going to be a 12-person tournament to crown a NEW lightweight champion! Every fighter with the exception of Melly and Bianca will participate. (Since they have no official fight record, it didn't seem right to include them, and they'll be fighting each other pretty soon anyway.)

The fighter bracket is set up like the NFL's Superbowl, with four fighters getting a bye through the first round of fights: Barbara and Elodie, who are probably the most well-known of the lightweights, and my two newest and least known, Christy and Mingyu.

Now, here's the important part: $20/month patrons get to vote on everything that happens! They'll decide the seeding for the remaining 8 fighters, who wins each fight, and whether it's a close fight or a mismatch. I'm going to do at least a 3-5 page story for each fight (the semi-finals and the final will probably be longer) and the final collected edition will be for sale at lulu.com. I'll also be posting updated brackets as each round of fights is completed.

The first vote for selecting the 5th through the 12th seed will go live later tonight, and will run through Saturday.
