It's supposed to be in Thailand, and this setting is probably the closest I can get to faking it (as long as you don't pay attention to what language the signs on the buildings are actually written in...)

That's definitely looks like Hongkong, but she can train in Thailand and have her match in Hongkong, that's where all the cool 80s 90s movies happens!
