This is future talking about the past. The biggest problem with the Halo TV show. Every time a person or journalist classifies, the story is who's different writers and different actors that played Batman and Superman. Why can't you just do that or get over it and just accept it like that?... The biggest problem with that analogy is that the people who own the IP for Batman and Superman and other things for comics is there's a hard rule or rules/ editorial standards for designs and story beats that has to be met. That's why everybody accepts the different variations so well. Where this Halo TV show there was no hard rules. There was no respect or even acknowledgment of the actual source material other than names and vague recollections of even knowing what the content's actually about. Second season acknowledged it better in the sense of they did three summaries instead of no summary + the only good thing they did was slightly make the flood less scary.
