2024-08-07 14:10:28 +0000 UTCWhile I agree that using the couch joke as an attack is ineffective because it’s fake I think Walz referenced it to show he’s got a finger on the pulse of the younger generations. The conservative Project 2025 wants to classify “trans ideology” as pornography and ban pornography nation wide. Trans Ideology could be defined in a way to include people being visibly trans in public. And if you’re trans in front of a child you could be arrested for being a child predator. They also want to give child predators the death penalty. Bringing this stuff up to people has never convinced them in my experience. Everyone I talk to about it thinks I’m overreacting. So if people thinking incorrectly that Vance stuck it in a couch somehow effects their vote and means I won’t be imprisoned or put to death I don’t personally care if the story is made up
