Tampa has history with the pirate Jose Gaspar and has an event related to him called Gasparilla every year in January. It includes a “Pirate Invasion” and basically turns into our version of Mardi Gras with floats, booze, and beads. On a semi-side note, the Buccaneers have a UK connection. Bucs UK is the largest American Football fan club in the UK and is celebrating its 40th Anniversary this season!

I do have a favorite team, but over the past few years I've started to like individual players as well, and it's gotten me to expand my horizons. It's fun! Especially in post season.
