Love the comment about old podcasts being time capsules. I'm going back and listening to them, and it's cool to see the tech predictions that were wrong or right, opinions that changed, etc.

By Scott do you mean Tom Scott? 😏🤓

I liked when YouTube tried to slow down the videos for people using an AdBlocker but they forgot a lot of us were raised on Dial-Up and have all the time in the world lol.

Haha I just heard that part of the podcast and rushed here to see if someone else said/thought of it

For those tracking pop-ups I highly recommend the Consent-o-Matic browser add-on that automatically fills (most of) them in for you with your preferences, which in my case is to opt out of everything.

It always amazes me that the people who call others sheep are the ones who blindly and uncritically believe and actively push misinformation. That’s exactly what it means to be herded and manipulated. They act like accurate information about science doesn’t clearly explain how it arrives at its conclusions and update when better explanations are figured out

Missed the perfect pun talking about Bees. They would use Bumble, not Tinder 😏

One Guy

I have a severe phobia of anything Bee, Wasp, Hornet, etc. If they werent vital to our species I would find a way to Thanos snap them all out of existence lol

Good morning! I'm talking out of my ass a bit because I can't find any info to source this, but I've noticed in the United States (or maybe it's just Florida) that website cookies now give options to look at cookie settings before accepting them, or sometimes have options to either Reject All or to choose Necessary Cookies Only. Not exactly sure when this change occurred, but I want to say around the start of 2024.
