[BONUS] 2024.06.30: Q&A Quatro

Burnie and Ashley answer all your questions -- and by "all" we mean some. And by "answer" we mean use as an excuse to start an unrelated tangent.

WAFFLE-O 2.0 We are all family, family loves each other.

One of the questions asked if Burnie would write "another" book. I know about the RvB Fan Guide one but did Burnie write another book that I'm not aware of??

Chris Hutton

Behind by a day but just listened to this and checked my postbox and the coin arrived this morning! Looks awesome!

Badges for you and you and you

Wait, Burnie claims he has never been knocked out? I thought on an RT Podcast he talked about being knocked out after interrupting a fight. He was wondering where the other guy went and then he woke up in the hospital?

The badges line from Mel Brook’s Blazing Saddles. Digimon’s dubbers made Kari’s line that as a reference, it wasn’t a direct translation.

Hearing about Nutmeg really hit home for me. Yesterday my dog Neo passed away and she was baby girl. She too will be cremated and I’ll get a little paw impression. She was only 4 but she made me the happiest person. (Listening to this episode helped put a smile on my face) Hugs to you Ashley💕

Re: putting a pet down We (my wife and I) had a cat that adopted us at the apartment complex we lived at before buying our house. She had lived around that complex for around 10 years (according to management who somewhat took care of her). But she eventually warmed up to us enough that she started coming inside. When we bought the house, we got the OK to take her with us. So she went into retirement for a couple of years before she developed kidney disease and needed to be put down. Now, we have our calendar marked on her "gotcha day" (the first day she slept inside out apartment overnight) and the day we had to put her down. The only time she would go feral was if we ever got a store bought rotisserie chicken (it was the last thing we could get her to eat, also). So on those two days, we get a rotisserie chicken for dinner in her honor. After a year, we buried her ashes under a tree in our backyard. Eventually it gets better, but it definitely is a pang of sadness every time her photo comes up on our Google Home. I hope you get to rest easy with the memories of your lover animal.

Ashley was that a Digimon reference at the top? “We don’t need no stinking badges” Kari in episode 52 (ish) “crests, we don’t need no stinking crests”

Lexington style bbq is great. Everyone should try it if they get the chance. It’s typically pork shoulder and the sauce is tomato based. Delicious!!
