This project marks a departure from Verbinski's usual big-budget blockbusters, as it is set to be a lower-budget affair. Filming is scheduled to begin in March.
The ensemble cast features Sam Rockwell, Michael Peña, Zazie Beetz, Kristen Wiig, and Hayley Lu Richardson.
The plot unfolds in a diner, where a peculiar stranger claiming to be from the future (played by Rockwell) arrives. He informs the diners that they must join him on a quest to prevent an artificial intelligence from seizing control.
