Hello again, my beautiful Patrons!

I'm absolutely thrilled to share something a little special with you today: my takes on the classic corner box heads of Alpha Flight's SNOWBIRD, PUCK, NORTHSTAR, and SASQUATCH!

Now, I know this might seem a tad specific, but these corner box portraits hold a truly nostalgic place in my heart. When I was just a kid, sketching comics for my classmates, drawing these little character headshots was the absolute best part. Seriously, the cherry on top of the sundae!

There's just something so iconic about that official character representation tucked away in the upper left corner of a comic cover. It's amazing how these images have permeated pop culture – you even see them popping up on retro Marvel merch these days! It feels so right, yet I can't help but feel a pang of nostalgia for the days when they graced every Marvel cover.

As a budding artist, I would spend countless hours perfecting each character's visage, striving to create the definitive version. And honestly? Not much has changed! When I decided to work on X-Men: Lost in Limbo and now Alpha Flight: Snowplowed, I jumped at the opportunity to create my own interpretations of these beloved characters for the covers.

Looking at these now, it's so clear how much John Byrne's work has influenced my style. While I've certainly forged my own path, artists like Byrne, Alan Davis, Michael Golden, and the unforgettable Dærick Gröss Sr. remain deeply embedded in my artistic DNA.

So, I hope you enjoy this close-up look at my renditions of these four Marvel characters. They've been a source of inspiration and joy since my childhood, and I'm positively beaming to finally share them with you.
