Added 2024-12-02 14:00:14 +0000 UTCHeeeere we go, I guess we're doing this. For the first time in a long while, I'm doing a proper, multipanel, word ballooned, sound effected, honest-to-baby-Jesus comic again. Don't let this first page fool you, the rest of it is multipaneled AF.
This is a story concept that I've been wanting to do for a while now, but am just getting around to doing. I'll let it play out naturally, but I'm sure y'all will work out where all this is headed before the story gets around to telling you. I thought this was a super original idea when I first thought of it, but since then I've seen it done to various degrees in other media, so I don't feel so clever now. Still, I haven't done it yet, so that's at least something.
I'm planning this to be a shorter story than Police Investigation and Laser Lass were, partly because of that armour being rather time consuming to draw and colour, but also because I sense that interest in the longer stories starts to wane after a while. No more slow, cerebral ENF stories, from now on I'm going to try to keep things up tempo, fun and frothy, like the kids enjoy these days!
In addition, I won't be doing this one straight through, rather I'll be taking breaks from it to do one-offs for a couple of weeks now and again. This, I hope, will keep a sense of variety in the Patreon content, and reduce burnout both with the audience and with myself since it does get a little monotonous drawing the same character for so long.
So, that's about it for now. Cast off those lines and full steam ahead!
