I dunno. Seemed pretty obvious to me on first viewing that Ty Lee got the message Azula was sending. The look of worry on her face when Azula says she'll stick around and the fear in her eyes when Azula was sabotaging her performance... spelled it out pretty clear to me that Ty Lee isn't just a bubbly airhead and can tell when trouble is coming her way. At least on a subconscious level. And by the end where she's smiling while still speaking in a rather emotionless tone "Unfortunately Azula, there won't be a show tomorrow" and how we don't get to see her face when she says "the universe is giving me strong signals"... I dunno. Seems pretty on point that something is up. Honestly, it's all of her later appearances before Boiling Rock that ended up convincing me she's just an airhead.
