Hey, so I just want to bring up now that you are 100%... probably going to run into the most problems so far with contentID when you start trying to get the Sozin's Comet episodes uploaded to Youtube. I've seen from other reviews of it on Youtube that many of the most iconic scenes are instant bot-bait and that Sozin's Comet in general has been notoriously difficult to review in depth for this reason. I think you should probably plan ahead NOW for the issues you are going to run into. If I were you, I would consider the following: - Break the video into chunks and cut them back together in the youtube editor piecemeal so you can nail down specifically what is triggering the bots. Start planning your production so that you will have an easier time figuring out what parts exactly are getting flagged. I haven't used the Youtube Editor in a long time, but from what I remember it's perfectly fine for just cutting together clips if you already have the actual editing and dubbing already finished. - Plan to upload a cut-down, more bot-safe version to Youtube and an unedited cut to an alternative video service so that you can still get some of the ad revenue and algorithm love from youtube with a smaller version to have to tiptoe through the content ID maze with, but still have the full version up somewhere else that is less unforgiving to fair use. Less footage = less hay to find the ContentID needle in later. - Accept the fact that Sozin's Comet is just gonna get fucking claimed (especially parts 3 and 4, where the action is.) and either eat the hit or start working on those episodes NOW so you can get them uploaded and start fighting the copyright claims ASAP. I know this is easier said than done, considering that you have several episodes still to cover before then, but I think that it might be prudent to get ahead if you can. - Start making some "filler" content that you can fall back on if a claim winds up dragging out. Don't kill your youtube momentum. The Youtube algorithm (and viewers, TBH) likes consistency, and breaking that can jack your exposure. Maybe make some filler episodes covering something like the chibi mini-sodes or promotional material, action figure commercials, advertising campaigns for the series' finale, etc... The kind of stuff that you could still use once Sozin's Comet is finished, or that could be dropped in to fill time while you fight with Viacom over fair use. If the ContentID gods decide to be merciful, then, hey, you can drop them in after Sozin's Comet and take a week or two off to cleanse your palate before starting into Korra or whatever you want to dive into, next. Just some ideas. I've been supervising a small factory through all the crazy employment and supply shortage swings over the last 2 years, so I have learned/ been traumatized to be paranoid about things that can interrupt steady production output and try my best to get out in front of them :P

The editing on this one is fantastically hilarious. Love the dbza reference

Over analyzing overanalyzing avatar, but in an alternative universe toph learns this episode that aang has tattoos and over analyzing avatar says “how the fuck has toph not learned Aang has tattoos by now, has it really never been mentioned?”

Honestly as 20 year old this is exactly how deep friend convos go if you are away together long enough to be too tired to keep up your fascade and it does sound cringey because often it’s stuff you never say out loud. Sad thing is it’s usually used against you at school. As for the trashing the party they all were very emotional so they coped with what made them feel better. Destruction. They wouldn’t All go to bed they needed to affirm their life choices.

I never noticed the intricacy of that slow-mo shot. Just watched it like 15 times in a row. It's just amazing.

I do wish that we would get a little more out of Azula. Even if she tried to play it off or say that it was nothing, it would be a bit more satisfying if we saw some stronger motivation out of her.

pizzamonkey

yeah, it's weird that they crash the party, but i like this episode alot... especially when the old twins, take their robes off and mai covers zukos eyes XD

What about Chad? There are a million chads

Well beach volleyball and regular volleyball have varying rules, but I am sure neither have a rule about standing on top of the net imo 😂

Matthew Masse

I could be wrong, but, isn't one of the rules in volleyball to not touch the net? If so, then Ty Lee lost the game for them when she landed on the net at 3:19.

The line about Ozai wanting a meeting alone with his advisors is probably about him becoming "The Phoenix King" since it was a surprise to Azula at the end.

Dayuum, you blew my mind with Zuko's flashbacks (likely) being about Iroh and not Ozai. I always assumed it was Ozai, but it did feel off for him to show affection to Zuko or babysit the kids lol. This episode was kinda cringe and melodramatic to me even when I watched it as a kid, but I appreciated what it added. I remember wishing they'd have made Azula be a bit more emotional, like you said, but I didn't mind them ending her part in a joke-y way. She's nothing if not self-aware and cut-throat, so no surprise she turns that attitude on herself and has no clue how to NOT be that way anymore. Loved the attention to detail this episode and hilarious as usual! Thanks!

was there a vid of the painted lady made coz i cant see or find it?

I absolutely love the inclusion of the Team Four Star bit

I remember loving this episode as a lame overemotional teenager cuz the Breakfast Club scene always validated how I was feeling and all that whatnot. Also I always wondered why they, the Royal Family, ended up stuck in a small dingy cottage but realized it was probably Lo and Li's. That and Zuko broke into his family's actual beach house later. And I think them ending on that note was fine given that right now these are still the bad guys. Yeah we sympathize with them and see that they have complex emotions too but they're still villains so it's not surprising that they go back and trash the party. Also last note this was one of your funniest videos so thank you for the laughs!

Oh boy I know what I'm watching tonight!

Novelty value!

YouTube copyright wouldn’t want to face Azula so understandable why this one went through easy

Matthew Masse
