Spliced Ideation Pages 18-22 (spoilers)
Added 2025-05-20 21:00:59 +0000 UTCHere's what's coming up in the next five pages of Spliced! Obviously this contains spoilers, so don't click past the first page or two if you wanna be kept in the dark about future twists and turns. But for those of you who want a sneak peek, here you go!
Obviously, these aren't detailed sketches meant to represent the final work - they are veee-hehehe-eeery basic, and the poses, framing, dialogue and so on may all change, but it'll give an idea of more-or-less what's going to happen.
If you're curious, these ideation pages are useful to me for two reasons:
First, it's hard for me to start from nothing on a blank page. Even if I have an idea of where I want to take the story next, it feels like a blank page resists being drawn on. Once I have a framework though, even the most basic of frameworks, it's MUCH easier to jump right in and get to work. So this sets me up for the future.
Secondly, it ensures there's some overarching vision with the comic. It might seem silly for a porn comic that it should even need a 'vision', but otherwise it becomes very easy to get stuck in the details of a single page, and then when you flip through the comic, there's suddenly jarring changes of pace or story that you never noticed because you never looked at the whole. Preparing five pages at a time keeps that from being (as big of) a problem.
