Your Passcode... oops?
Added 2018-06-19 12:14:59 +0000 UTCSo... I've been working hard on improving several areas of the "onboarding process" (what happens when you become a new Patron/Donator).
Part of this was improving the emails with the passcode link and a (much) easier email validation for people who donated.
I may have kind of accidentally re-sent the passcode to everyone that is currently supporting me. I am sorry.
The new features I'm working on (almost all done):
- Clickable passcode link ... like the email you just got.
- Very fast approval of your payment on Patreon (within minutes, if possible, not yet done, it now takes about 3 hours).
- Much better system to get donations from PayPal. It still takes 3 hours after a donation to get your verification email, but after that it's within minutes.
Part of the reason I've been fixing this is because I don't want people to have to wait for their passcode, just because I'm asleep.
ps. To answer some early questions:
- Yes, it's the same passcode.
- Yes, clicking the link will log you in automatically!
- No, you won't get it every month. (Only if you missed a month do you get it again).
- Yes, I'm very, very sorry!

2018-06-20 17:40:01 +0000 UTCI saw the oops message first, so I already knew it was an error. But then I checked to see if I got oopsed and was quite happy to see that I had. Clickable is good for the lazy (and copying-pasting on the iphone isn't always the easiest).
