There are only 18 episodes. If you start soon, you could finish it in time for it to come into play on Agents of SHIELD. You'll have a deeper understanding and enjoyment for those things when they do happen. And Agent Carter is a great show. It's available on Disney+. And Disney+ does have a Watch Party.
