I am loving your Lucifer reactions. Part of me wishes we could binge with you but it would all end quicker so part of me is looking forward to all the time we have if you continue through all 93 episodes. at one a week! Delayed gratification or glutton for punishment? Either way I hope you continue the journey.

I agree with D Boss re: Daniel’s reasoning, but am happy that you see the possibilities of their relationship. He obviously does love Chloe, and she still cares for him though it is unclear when or if she could overcome the pain over his longtime actions. It says something that with all the factors involved, he puts Trixie first, and though a divorce kills any chance to revive his romantic relationship with Chloe, it removes blocks from continuing their close friendship especially with coparenting Trixie. And yes, Mum has more strength now than she or her sons anticipated! She definitely is a master manipulator but what is her motivation and ultimate goal? I also think Amenadiel’s pride in not revealing his situation and “woe is me” attitude is a big disservice to Lucifer and himself when they work on resolving celestial issues.

2023-04-16 15:29:08 +0000 UTCWell it seems mum has super power too, just like how incredibly strong both Lucifer and Amenadiel are... And I believe your reading of Dan is a misinterpretation. Chloe is pissed and hurt, not just because Dan got tangled up with Malcolm, but because Dan shot Malcolm back at Palmetto, and let Chloe think she was crazy and lied to her way back then (for a year or more). That is the big hurt he inflicted on her. And he is not playing woe is me now, he is taking his punishment and being everyone's bitch without complaining. And with such a huge rift between he and Chloe, the right thing to do is to divorce. Wounds like that do not magically disappear. And he tended towards being a dirty cop, and Chloe is the ultimate good person. Dan is simply being realistic and with some distance, they can then be better single parents to Trixie by creating some distance between he and Chloe. (Dan is leaning towards what is best for Trixie as opposed to trying to get back with Chloe - isn't it better for Trixie to have two single parents who remain friends than two parents together who have deep seated angst or bad feelings under the surface?)
