Greetings adventurers!

I’ve spent many mornings sitting on my porch and listening to the birds in the trees serenade me with their calls and chirps. It’s one of my favorite activities listening to them in the mornings and is sure to pick me up from even the worst of moods. I’ve come to know quite a few performers who consider themselves songbirds of that type, but few have been able to match the vocal performance of what nature has to offer. It struck me one day that maybe instead of trying to mimic the birds themselves, perhaps performers would rather work with them. Instead of fighting for the better spot, why not work together after all?

Our patrons get early access to all of these items as well as additional formats that are easily usable in both physical and online play for D&D and Pathfinder 2E. Additionally they get high-res art exports, easy to use text exports, behind the scenes updates, and a lot more.

Design notes from Matthew:
Before anyone comments, yes I know serenade is spelled with an e, but this is actually a play on the serin, a small songbird closely related to canaries. I just wanted to put that out there as I would undoubtedly get questions about it. That’s reasonable mind you, but I was actually going for a thing here! It was a blast designing this as I had a really clear idea in mind for what each part was going to be and it all felt so thematic together.
This is one of those pieces that I just decided to start with a theme and let it carry through into each part. You’ve got some basic performance bonuses, some flavor with the illusory bird on your shoulder and being able to change what it looks like as well as an interesting mechanical benefit letting you speak to animals even if that isn’t something that your class can normally do.
Funnily enough, this one didn’t need much difference between the 5E and PF2E versions as it was mostly made to fit the theme. With such a strong idea of a songbird’s cloak in the middle, I basically just had to write the mechanics that I knew I already wanted, which was pretty straightforward!

We’ve been creating some lower level and lower rarity items the past few weeks and it’s been a blast trying to explore what you can offer at that kind of limited power level. I think it’s a great design exercise to force yourself to think outside of the realm of combat when it comes to magic items and embrace the other pillars.
