Hey guys, thanks for being so patient with me lately while I got the book off to print. The book actually passed review today, so the variant edition is actually already out!  You can find it here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0CWLW65CV/ref=tmm_pap_swatch_0?ie=UTF8&qid=&sr=
Right now, only patreons are privy to this information, but I’m going to make a public announcement soon. The second curious archive video is also coming out on the 1st of march, so get ready for that!

As for this page, I’ll have the colours up for it tomorrow.

The idea behind this station is that the two asteroids have been tied together using a system of tethers. These tethers thread into two containment bags that wrap around each asteroid. The containment bags stop debris from falling away from the loose asteroids and also double as solar energy collectors. The two asteroids have been “spun up”, meaning the whole station acts as one humongous centrifuge. The centrifugal nature of the station provides the sensation of being in a gravity well for its inhabitants. The closer to the centre of the station that you go, the lighter you feel, until you are completely weightless. At the very core of the station is the dual docking ports which counter rotate relative to the station, negating any spinning.

If you travel down towards either asteroid, you feel gradually heavier. This makes the station a very accommodating place for all species. The city seen in between the two colossal rocks is comprised of independently pressurised habitats, meaning that each species has their own area located at a level which simulates their home planets gravity and atmospheric conditions. There are also mixed spaces and as you go down into the asteroids themselves, you’ll see pressurised cavern like areas filled with open air bazaars and other wonders (we will see those soon).

I’m yet to come up with a name for it, leave your suggestions down in the comments if you have any.

Cheers mate! Lol no 😂 I really appreciate that Gabu, thank you. I just have all of these ideas for places that I want to visit in the story and because it takes so long to make the comic itself, by the time we get to the location, the ideas have had time to mature and develop into really interesting places. Indeed, that’s correct!

Way to go on book edition 2! How about Spin City? Ha ha:) Seriously though, I like how you take cool ideas and execute them with a good illustration and a plausible backstory :-) makes the place more interesting. Plus love the absolute black shading since that’s what you would get in space with no atmosphere around to diffuse light. Right?

Gabu

Thanks so much Nicholas, it means a lot. Oh there was no charge, he’s just a really nice guy and he has a genuine interest in the project, he’s actually a Patreon.

They are semi-independent, they are allowed to form attachments and give one another names and so on... They’re born to serve Deicide and their one purpose in life is war. Like the clones in the Star Wars Clone Wars animated series, their loyalty is biological programmed, but they have personalities of their own. The navigators are the brains of large ships, they have limited psionic potential and it is used in an Advantageously autistic way (by that I mean it is restricted to repetitive behaviors and actions that are limited in scope) to navigate and plot paths through hazardous environments and dimensions. The average imperium unit is like an automaton, a robot, it fulfils talks given to it. If out of stasis, it merely maintains itself, exercises, eating nutrients, sleeping. Very often they are just kept in a form of stasis until their time comes to do their duty for the imperium.

That’s a good one, I like it. I might use that, or build upon it, thanks!

Congratulations on the book. The more of humanity lost we have in our lives the better. Also, got a question for ya. How much does curious archives charge for him to sponsor your work?

nicholas

Can't wait to see it in colour! How about calling it Crossroads, seeing as it serves as a meeting place for so many races?

Incomplete Machine

Are Deicide's post-human troops independant like people or are they controlled? Also what is the role of the navigator's in the Imperium? Does having a large brain give them psionic abilities like Over-Father's? Also what is the day of an average Imperium unit like?

Erika Spooner

Cheers for the suggestion Ryan and thanks so much!

Well thank you very much, Viacheslav!
