I’m probably going to do another Q&A section between this page and the next because people seemed to have enjoyed the last one.

A Tandraxian Star-engine itself cannot carry a planet. The way it works is that there is a massive array of Star-engines that orbit a host star, they can redirect the energy of the host star in one direction by creating an opening in the collective orbital path of the star-engine swarm. It’s an idea called a Shkadov thruster. The idea is that it’s a mobile dyson swarm, but individual Star-engines can detach and operate independently if the need arises. The mobile stellar engine is called a nomad star in the Humanity Lost universe.
