2023-02-26 19:02:24 +0000 UTCyesss younha! she's one of the most renown and respected singer songwriters in korean music history. she made her debut in the 2000s and became a household name because of all her hits. she actually first found success in japan so her first hit is houki boshi (the bleach anime ending), but other hits include password 486, we broke up today, winter flower feat. rm, umbrella (her feature on an epik high song), waiting... there's a lot so you can probably watch her dingo killing voice to hear them. as the korean music industry grows it gets more heavily commercialized and older acts struggle more to stay in the public eye, so event horizon is her first major hit in a while, which is likely why it's your first time hearing of her. it blew up recently after she performed it at a bunch of college festivals, but i'm hoping this revival in public support for her stays strong. also you mentioned twenty five twenty one and i think you would be pleased to know she covered the song and absolutely killed it! https://youtu.be/XTsdPeUKlZg
