New Tutorials!
Added 2021-01-04 02:38:20 +0000 UTCHappy New Year and welcome to the first week! That means its tutorial time, and tomorrow I'll be dropping a vid explaining how I put together my vocal chops, and to do that we will be diving into and deconstructing the chops in my song Alchemy!
Got a few tutorial topics to record in mind. What kinda stuff do you guys wanna see most in the future?

From doing mentoring and mixing & mastering for a minute now, I have a fair idea of where the majority are struggling. But I want to gauge where the group is at right now <3

2021-01-04 04:29:14 +0000 UTCFor sure I can cover that. To cover it briefly here, I'll always use the vocal from the song if applicable. If the song doesn't have vocals, I'll usually hunt on splice and try and find one with a nice or complimentary tone (female, male, high, low, falsetto, etc.). I'll usually audition quite a few different ones until I find one I think sits well with the rest of the song. I'll usually look for phrases instead of one shots as it gives me more options, inflections, and often more length to choose from. Always make sure you find the key of your song, and then match the sample to that to begin with. Samples should come labeled with a Key. Then you can stretch and process (or not) to your hearts content lol. Hope this helps a little.
