PS i couldnt figure out why the technical issue of the colours being so wack but i decided in the end that thats not important, just get the content out!! lol.

Hope you enjoy and learn a thing or two!

Let me know what you guys wanna see next :D

Thomas Renelli

Lucas Alcantara

In a future video could you go over how you stack your layers in heavier genres like Midtempo and Dubstep? I'd love to learn how you approach layering in the other genres that makeup your sound 🙂

AMBIENCE

Thank you so much for this!! I've been struggling to come up with chord stacks and mix them in a way that works best. I can already tell the difference in my production after putting this into practice 😊

AMBIENCE

Thanks Boss!

Jon

I often route my drums separately so they arent sidechained, and often my vocals too so they arent sidechained and also dont get processed with the rest of the music. sometimes it gets too squishy in there and i want the vocals to be more free.

BLANKE

very helpful review! you've talked about your "A mix" bus before and mixing everything into the multiband compressor/limiter. Do you ever mix some elements into this multiband compressor and not others? or do all instrumental elements always sum into the multiband compression? thanks!

Jon

Would love a tutorial on the heavy drop!

Insko

Since saws are used a lot for both lead and chords in comparable frequency ranges (regardless of genre but especially here), do you ever run into issues with leads/chords competing in the mix? How do you approach that?

Odakai Music

Haha yess good to know, im glad dude. and youre welcome.

BLANKE

love to hear it!!

BLANKE

agreed, once i learnt that i was like damn haha

BLANKE

it was a gift from a friend actually, super cool!

BLANKE

Man, this video alone was worth the subscribe (only one I've gotten to so far lol). Helped solidify and internalize some concepts I was only like half aware of. Really appreciate you sharing

Odakai Music

So sick! This helped me so much!

The tip with the 1K boost for the saw stack is really nice! I overcomplicated in the individual layers, but that 1 K boost is a nice shortcut and feels even better somehow

Veix

My man has his own serum skin 👀

Nathan Stoupas

BLANKE
