The Sharpie Dye Bath is like, a tumblr heritage post. There’s a race of aliens called trolls in Homestuck that canonically all have the same skin color (grey). A cosplayer circa-2011 thought it would be a genius idea to throw a bunch of sharpie ink and alcohol in a bathtub to dye her skin for her troll cosplay, instead of just using body paint + sealant as was the meta. Hotel damage fees ensue.

2024-10-08 17:22:07 +0000 UTCI have seen it speculated that it was "sharpie dye bath", which appears to be some somethingawful/tumbler/homestuck depravity (which I know nothing about and at this point do not feel like doing digital archaeology to retrieve). So I am relieve it in fact was the loving touch of your fellow humans. One can always have more of that in one's life. I just hope the facepaint wasn't too gross !
